2024 Thanksgiving Giveaway
With the help of so many in our community, Fairborn FISH was able to provide 668 families (2,300 people) with all the ingredients for a thanksgiving meal.
Football for Food Drive!
September 2024
The Fairborn Leo Club hosted an amazing food drive at Fairborn Kroger for FISH! The Fairborn community graciously donated 20,003 pounds of food and personal care items for the food pantry. Thank you to all who donated their resources and time to support FISH.

GCPH Department spent three hours picking up trash around FISH and on Funderburg. We are so grateful for the way you constantly serve your neighbors and support Fairborn FISH.
Kids Serving Kids

Fairborn Fish will be hosting another family safety event in September. When Kaleb heard about the event he wanted to make sure other children in the area had a safe place to sleep. He so kindly donated $40 to buy cribs. Kaleb, you are a light in your community.
Thank You Be Hope Church
Fairborn FISH could not continue to serve the community without the help of local churches in our area. Be Hope Church of the Nazarene kindly repaired our shed that was falling apart, cleaned the pantry, and made a generous donation. We saw hope at work!

Child Safety Event
June 4th, 2024
The Fairborn Fire Department, "Help Me Grow", Greene County Health Department, Family & Youth Initiative(FYI) and Caresource participated in a Child Safety Event at Fairborn FISH and provided a variety of services to our neighbors.
The Fire Department checked all car seats *for proper installation and distributed safety items and 25 car seats.
One of our volunteers, who is certified by Children's Medical Center as a safe sleep instructor, instructed 15 parents in safe sleeping and provided them with a crib, the bedding and a layette.
A Greene County Health Department nurse distributed Narcan and provided information on needle exchange to 25 of our clients.
A representative from Help Me Grow interviewed 4 pregnant moms and connected them to a nurse who will bring them to their prenatal visits and follow the baby through the 1st year of life.
A representative from Care Source answered questions about Medicaid.
Staff from FYI taught newborn care to 22 parents.
The event was a huge success! Thank you to all who volunteered.
Stamp Out Hunger 2024
The Fairborn and Beavercreek Post Offices collected over 4000 pounds of food donations for Fairborn FISH in this years Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! Thank you for your tremendous work on behalf of our neighbors.
Community Health Fair
Fairborn FISH, Greene County Public Health Department, Care Source, And Premier Health hosted a health fair in May! They provided bio-metric testing, rapid testing, drug counseling and so much more. Thank you for caring for our community.
Miss Ohio Cinderella Ambassador

Ten year old, Evelyn Bridenbaugh donated 74 birthday kits to Fairborn FISH to share with our neighbors. She said, “I want to make a big impact on this world.” And she is doing so by spreading kindness in her community. Evelyn is making the world a brighter place!
Fairborn’s 2nd Annual Black History Fashion Show
Sylvia Chess, owner of the African Utopia Boutique on Main Street in Fairborn organized a fashion show! The event included poetry readings, dances by members of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Co., a fashion show, and more. The proceeds from this event all were donated to Fairborn FISH. Hometown Hero

Officer Sam Fullen was nominated as the Jeff Schmitt hero of the quarter and kindly chose to share his monetary reward with FISH. We are so blessed to have people like Sam in our community.
Thanksgiving Giveaway

Berean Baptist Church donated 200 boxes of stuffing and 650 boxes of instant potatoes for our Thanksgiving Give-Away. We are so grateful for the support from our community churches.
Fighting Period Poverty
November 2023
Menstrual hygiene products remain out of reach for many American households. Fairborn FISH cares for more than just the food needs of our clients. Lisa Jordan, is helping us support women in our community. She generously donated 512 packages of menstrual pads to Fairborn FISH.

Mosaic Church kindly volunteered to deep clean the pantry. Thank you for serving the pantry in this way. FISH is looking squeaky clean.
Blue Star Food Distribution
October 2023
Fish participated in a food giveaway for military families. Over 200 military families received fresh produce, shelf stable food, fire extinguishers, and smoke detectors, bags of cleaning supplies and personal care items.

Fairborn Skyline Chili will be hosting a food drive during the month of September. A donation bin is available in the lobby. Thank you Skyline!
2023 Food For Football!
September 1st-7th
Fairborn FISH, Fairborn City Schools (Student Ambassadors and Leo Club), and Fairborn Kroger teamed up for the annual food drive. 30,736 pounds of food were donated this year. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with this event and to all the community members who graciously donated to Fairborn FISH.

New Outdoor Bench!

Volunteers collected 500 pounds of plastic bags and recycled them into an outdoor bench for our neighbors to use while waiting for their groceries.

Our neighbors received tomato and pepper plants thanks to the kindness of Tom and Sharon Lauchnor. They donated 200 plants to be given out.

Dairy Queen hosted a fundraiser for Fairborn FISH and donated $198. We are so thankful for all the support from local businesses.
Community Health Fair!
Thank you to our community health partners for sponsoring a wonderful event for our Fairborn neighbors. During the Community Health Fair, 50 individuals received Narcan, 15 were tested for Hep C, and HIV and 30 received biometric testing (Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose level and A1C).

Fairborn City Schools and the Leo Club teamed up with Kroger and the Fairborn FISH Food Pantry to combat hunger in the area.
Over one week, the community donated 35,639 pounds of food. Thank you Fairborn Kroger, the Leo Club and our wonderful community for supporting the food pantry.

Thanksgiving Giveaway
Fairborn FISH provided quite a few families with everything needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner: serving 464 families, 1,616 individuals.
New Ticket Booth

A huge thank you to Tom Koogler and the Greene County Commissioners for donating a ticket booth to the Fairborn FISH Food Pantry. This building will be used by FISH volunteers to greet patrons while obtaining food preferences. when we move into our new building at 480 West Funderburg, formally Wright Elementary School.
